Tips for choosing your photos for your Personalised photo soft books

Imagine the joy on your baby's face as they learn to recognise their family and friends and the special connection it creates between them and their new treasured book! Babies have an innate fascination with faces, especially those of family and friends. Faces are incredibly stimulating for babies’ developing vision. The human face has a variety of shapes, lines, and contrasts that are interesting for a baby to look at. This visual stimulation is crucial for the development of their eyesight and their ability to track and focus on objects. And what better way to help with this development than a gorgeous soft book filled with photos of their favourite people.

We've put together our tips for uploading your photo's and getting the best result from your soft book.

- A good quality photo is essential when printing onto fabric, eg. well-lit, not blurry or pixelated and with an appropriate amount of space around the people in the image.

- Preferably use images with a portrait orientation rather than landscape. As landscape images are too wide for the size of the soft book and all people will not fit on the page. Photo's with 5 people or less work best.

- If possible try to use photos where the people are stood close together and there aren't areas of empty space in the middle of the image.

- When ordering please ensure you have added the correct names under the correct photo. These names will be copied and pasted directly from the order form and printed opposite the corresponding photo so please triple-check they are correct.

The words 'favourite people' will always be printed underneath your personalisation on the front cover. If you do not know the baby's name yet then you can use "my favourite people" or the surname such as "baby Smith's favourite people".

Babies' love for looking at the faces of family and friends is a beautiful blend of biology, emotion, and learning. It’s a fundamental part of their growth that fosters connection, learning, and development. So next time your little one is gazing up at you with those big, curious eyes, remember they are not just looking—they are learning, loving, and growing.
